Term: Ron Levin
Ron Levin was an 18 year old hairdresser right out of beauty school and working in a small hair salon in Philadephia when he was asked to do Marilyn Monroe's hair.
The salon was called Louis and Simone. The reason Marilyn was at the salon was that the owner was the sister of the famous Kenneth Salon in New York.
After Levin did Marilyn's color the first time, three weeks later she called him and asked him to come to her apartment at 400 East 75th Street where she lived with Arthur Miller and do her hair in private. Which he did.
When asked to work on Marilyn Monroe, Levin thought it was a joke. However, he discovered that it was not joke. He met Marilyn in the back room of the salon which was a converted laundry room.
