Term: Eugene Schueller Father Of Commercial Hair Color
Although various forms of haircoloring agents have been recorded in history since the beginning, French Chemist Eugene Schueller created the first commercial hair coloring in 1907. Schueller claimed that the product was completely safe. His hair color invention was based on p-phenyldiamine and it became the basis for his French Harmless Hair Dye Company. Ultimately Schueller's Harmless Hair Dye Company became L'Oreal.
