Term: E. H. Thiellay
E. H. Thiellay was a British pharmacist and perfumer who along with hairdresser Leon Hugo of Paris, invented the first hair bleach - peroxide. The hair bleach was advertised in the Parish Exposition in 1867.
Thiellay and Hugo were inspired to create the blonding agent due to historical quest by people around the world for artificially creating light colored locks.
