The Capilliscope is a patented device from French hair care company René Furterer which was introduced in the late 1990s. The Capilliscope consists of a one-on-one consultation with a René Furterer expert which evaluates the condition of the hair, roots and scalp. It accurately measures the scalp's sebum level. The entire procedure can be performed in approximately 15-30 minutes. The Capilliscope includes a written hair and scalp analysis, diagnosis, prescription and long term care prescription. It also includes a personalized treatment regime. The regime usually includes, but is not limited to, a luxurious scalp and/or hair treatment, shampoo and condition.
