Bald Girls Do Lunch (BGDL) For All Females With Alopecia Areata (AA) is 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for women today and inspiring women tomorrow living with alopecia areata.
It brings women together at lunches, dinners, and events to meet others who are living with the autoimmune disease known as alopecia areata, often for the first time in their lives.
The events are lively, informative, and full of interaction, and women leave feeling
inspired, connected, and more confident than ever.
The organization strives to enhance self-esteem, self-confidence, and a sense of community for any female with alopecia areata while also increasing their capacity to effectively manage the various aspects of living with alopecia areata.
Furthermore, BGDL seeks to improve the acceptance of bald women nationally and internationally by increasing public awareness, knowledge, and understanding of alopecia areata.
They provide education and resources for coping, talking, and answering common questions and concerns. The group fosters healthy living with practical tips for talking to others about alopecia areata and providing real-world experiences.
