Rihanna Poised To Change Her Hair Color

Rihanna has been rocking an array of red hued hairstyles for several months. Which is both good and bad. While Rihanna looks fabulous in red, she also is known to get bored when she maintains the same look for any significant period of time.

In the September issue of Glamour magazine the popstar says, "I just love a challenge," she adds, "whether it's a relationship, my career, or my clothing."

In a way, Rihanna is responsible for making red hair the new "it" hair color. But it appears Rihanna is going to moving into a new color territory. Plus she's had let it be known that once her hair hues become widely copied by others, she no longer feels like she stands apart.

Thus it's no surprise the 23 year old super pop star was spotted with much darker tresses while shopping in Beverly Hills a few days ago.

Rihanna's long time celebrity hairstylist, Ursula Stephen, told Us Weekly "Rihanna has been wanting to change up the color and go for something a little more natural looking. She wasn't exactly sure what she wanted so we started playing around and decided to start toning down the red and bringing it back to a warmer, more natural shade."

The singer admits she purposefully selects outfits that go against the grain. "Getting dressed, I want to pick the most bizarre pair of shorts so I can figure out how to make it look right, or work an outfit that will make people go, 'What the hell is she wearing?'" she says.

Keep in mind that Rihanna often wears wigs, which allows her and Ursula to go wild, bold or crazy with color and style. Stay tuned to see what new hair hue and style Rihanna rocks next.

Daily Hair Tip
For a low maintenance style, try to work with your natural hair type rather than against it. For example, if your hair is naturally wavy, select a hairstyle that works easily with the waves.
