Fashion Insiders And Couturier Designers To Convene During The Atlanta International Fashion Week

The fourth annual Atlanta International Fashion Week has doubled its efforts to bridge the gap and connect continents with fashion and entertainment.

This years event boasts 50 designers, 12 runway shows, 6 Celebrity Events, 4 fashion workshops, 2 trunk shows all in one week July 13-18, 2010.

The 2010 event will take center stage for the of the most highly anticipated fashion event of the year featuring international fashion moguls, celebrities, models, agents, press and buyers at the all new and elegant Loews Hotel in downtown Atlanta.

This year, AIFW once again makes history as it is declared the official fashion week of Atlanta with proclamation from the City of Atlanta and support of Mayor Kasim Reed.

A variety of luxurious and trendy venues will play host to the various events that make up AIFW.

These include not only the Loews Hotel, but also feature Life Night Club, 595 North, Jedal Italian Fashion at Phipps Plaza, Dolce Group's Ten Pin Alley and many more. AIFW will also debut its highly anticipated Fashion ICON Awards to honor trend setters featuring a special tribute to the late Alexander McQueen with a fashion showcase and presentation.

AIFW Director, Paula Whittle, has a simple goal for this years event To cement the city of Atlanta as a fashion capital not just in the South or even just the country, but in the global fashion community.

In line with that goal, this years event will be filmed and broadcast to the international fashion community.

As in years past, this years event will feature a variety of partnerships including Loews Hotel, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the SmartWater campaign with Jennifer Aniston.

AIFW will feature twelve runway shows including Fashionably Green, Men of Style, Celebrity Walk for Charity, Pret A Porter, Kids Kouture including the K&G Designer Spotlight of European designers such as D&G, Prada, Armani, Burberry, Michael Kors, Alexander McQueen with features from the Real Housewives of Atlantas Kandi Buruss TAGS, Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein, Dereon, Baby Phat, Sean John plus many more.

AIFW will also highlight Eco, Student, Independent and International designers such as Moniyang London, Keith Amari, Nicci Hou Collection, Ritu B, RJ Ellis, Drue Dun, Live Lavish and more.

Beginning in August of 2007, AIFW made history as the Atlanta Fashion Network presented the first annual Atlanta International Fashion Week with its benefits and big name designers that attracted Atlantas finest and an international presence.
