Ivanka Trump Was Disappointed In Jewelry Picks

The Celebrity Apprentice Task for Sunday, April 19, 2009 was to select pieces of jewelry from Ivanka Trump's line and build a fashion show around the pieces. Then they were required to put on an auction to raise the most money for charity. The key to winning or losing was tied to selecting va-va-voom pieces.

Unfortunately the person Team Leader Joan put in charge of selecting the jewelry for the KOTU's auction was professional golfer Natalie Gulbis. When Natalie Gulbis went to view Ivanka Trump's jewelry line she did not do a good job at selecting the pieces for the auction.

Instead of selecting big pieces that could easily be seen even in the back of the hall where the fashion show/auction held Natalie picked very small pieces.

Although Joan, who is a jewelry expert, was not pleased with Natalie's selections, she defended her and said "she did the best she could and in general Natalie has great style."

Unfortunately selecting jewelry that gives the impression of being pricey and shows well is very different from very small items which tend to not translate as well in a show.

Ivanka said she was impressed with the large and exceptional pieces Melissa Rivers selected for the Athena Team but was disappointed in the pieces Natalie won. Ivanka echoed the concerns that the pieces were so small and could not been in the back and thus were not bid well.

In fact, even more troubling, only one of the pieces of Ivanka's jewels that she donated to the cause were actually sold. She rightly pointed out that the KOTU team made Ivanka and her collection look bad. She had a very good point.

As a result of KOTU losing, Natalie was fired because ultimately she picked the Ivanka Trump jeweles which did not sell as well as the opposing team.

Daily Hair Tip
For a low maintenance style, try to work with your natural hair type rather than against it. For example, if your hair is naturally wavy, select a hairstyle that works easily with the waves.
